Remove mi account is free option, but the auth needed models need auth service (10 crd for now) first of all, you can check credits usage from emt software or emt official site: Licences & Recharge of EMT - Standard Edition

You can try to solve problem as follow way:
1.Confirm your phone model first of all
2.Power on the phone and then power off
3.Press "Read information" and then connect phone without press any key
