HOT SM-A127F U4 Repair Imei Firmware with Root File

I installed cyanogenmod, but quite stupidly, did not make a backup of the root file where my phone's IMEI value is stored. My phone is now basically an ipod. I've seen numerous ways to fix it, with the z3x program, a USB and a UART cable being the best option, apparently. I have no idea how to go about this.
