have questions

1.is rooting and unlocking bootloader required for this imei repair process for this phone model (SM-M356B) in chimera? or it is handled by chimera software itself ?

2.after repair imei and patch certificate will imei and certificate stays permanently or we have to repatch certificate after , phone reset or ota update ?

3.will device will be unrooted and bllotloader locked , widewine l1 status safe after completing the process of imei repair ?

Dear User,

1. IMEI repair process requires a rooted device with unlocked bootloader, however ChimeraTool can unlock the bootloader of the device in EUB mode, and can root the device by selecting "Autoroot" at the start of the IMEI repair procedure.

2 and 3. For the new IMEI to function, the Patch certificate procedure has to be performed on the device right after IMEI repair, and as a patch based solution, it will stop working if the device is reseted/reflashed/updated/unrooted or the bootloader is relocked, and the procedure has to be repeated.
