Hi,

I'm currently in South Korea and have a A325N version.
I've downloaded the KOO firmware and installed it but when I connect it to Chimera and try to access the KOO region, it doesn't show...
A friend of mine analyzed the firmware and he confirms that the KOO version is included in the firmware that's been downloaded.

My question is, what do I need to do to be able to access this KOO version in Chimera? If it's not possible, is there another program that can do this?

Please help and I appreciate your time and effort in trying to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance!

Dear User,

The KOO version is not highlighted because the Tool says that the device is on the KOO already.
What you can try is to reflash the device with another firmware (with a none KOO version), then use the CSC Change. Change the Vendor to KOO and then reflash the phone with the KOO firmware.

Best regards

Hi Sab, thank you very much for your reply!

I will definitely follow your process and check if it will work. Also, I was wondering how you were able to check if quote "because the Tool says that the device is on the KOO already."
When this device WAS flashed and KOO was selected by the company I paid for, it highlighted KOO in the drop down list. Once I changed it again to one of the three option, and changed back, KOO disappeared from the drop down list. I'll attach the picture of it when KOO was selected.

Anyhow, I'll try what you've suggested and let you know! Thanks!!

I've tried but this didn't work either. One thing I'm a bit confused is that you told me to reflash the device with another firmware (none KOO version) and then change the CSC Vendor to KOO. If I reflash the device with a none KOO version, wouldn't I not see the option to change it to KOO in the selection?

If you have a KOO firmware on the device, then you should not see the KOO Vendor ID in the CSC Change option.

What? I've been changing CSC on a lot of devices and KOO appears in the CSC change option when the device is flashed with the KOO firmware. I mean what's is the point of flashing the device with the KOO firmware if it's not going to appear in the selection to change it to the KOO version? Are you being sarcastic?
